Veda Stuthi was started by a small Indian community in Maryland in an effort to preserve and spread the awareness of Vedic Culture in their Karma Boomi. The modest congregation of devotees in the basement of a house, has grown today, to include Veda classes for children and adults, Vedic lectures and Bhajans. Veda Stuthi has instilled the values of the Vedas in the minds of adults and children alike.

Veda Stuthi offers weekly classes for children, where the children learn the slokas and stotras that traditionally grandparents have taught grand children. They learn Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam, Suktas and slokas in praise of all the deities of the Sri Siva Vishnu Temple. There are also weekly classes where adults learn the Upanishads and other Vedic hymns. The "Saaram" (meaning) of the hymns learned are also discussed.

In the great epic Ramayana, little squirrels helped in the construction of the bridge to Lanka along with mighty and brave monkeys like Hanuman, Jambhava and Angadha. These little squirrels drenched themselves in water, rolled in the sand, let the sand dry in the sun and ran to the construction site and shook themselves, where the mighty apes were building the bridge using huge rocks and boulders.

Veda Stuthi is our share of the sand granules. May Lord Sree Ramachandhra bless us all.
